Safety, quality & manufacturing proof 05
Confidence should be documented, not claimed.
A vertical access system is only as credible as the engineering decisions, fabrication controls, safety checks and technical records behind it. SEKLIFT connects those stages into one traceable manufacturing and project-handover process.
From project input to documented handover.
Select a stage to see how engineering information becomes a controlled machine configuration, tested functions and a usable technical file.
Proof stage / 01
Engineering inputs are validated before the machine is defined.
The product category, rated load, travel height, movement route, operating environment, structural interfaces and user requirements must be connected before a final configuration can be selected or engineered.
Inputs reviewed
- Load, personnel and duty-cycle requirements
- Travel route, height and landing arrangement
- Building, mast, shaft or supporting structure
Resulting evidence
- Defined machine category and configuration
- Project-specific technical parameters
- Interfaces requiring confirmation or design
Proof stage / 02
Fabrication quality is controlled through materials, dimensions and workmanship.
Custom lifting equipment and vertical access machinery depend on consistent fabrication. Material identification, dimensional checks, welding and assembly controls help connect the approved engineering definition to the manufactured structure.
Manufacturing controls
- Material and component identification
- Cutting, forming, welding and dimensional inspection
- Surface treatment and corrosion-protection requirements
Resulting evidence
- Inspection and production records
- Verified dimensions and assembly interfaces
- Documented deviations and corrective actions
Proof stage / 03
Safety devices and machine functions are checked as one operating system.
Functional and safety validation should reflect the selected machine, its control logic and the applicable project requirements. Checks may cover travel, drive behavior, braking, overload monitoring, interlocks and emergency functions.
Functions evaluated
- Drive, travel and stopping behavior
- Door, gate and landing interlocks
- Overload, emergency and safety-device operation
Resulting evidence
- Functional check or factory acceptance records
- Open items requiring site verification
- Release status before shipment or installation
Proof stage / 04
The machine is handed over with information needed to operate and maintain it.
Technical documentation should match the delivered model and final configuration. Depending on the product and project, the file can include drawings, operating information, maintenance requirements, inspection records and applicable conformity documentation.
Handover information
- Model and configuration identification
- Operation, inspection and maintenance information
- Installation, commissioning and training records
Lifecycle support
- Recommended service and inspection intervals
- Spare-parts and technical-support information
- Records for future modification or relocation

Product selection centre 06
Clear questions before the engineering brief.
Compare the main SEKLIFT vertical access systems, understand where each one fits, and prepare the technical information our engineering team needs to evaluate a standard product or custom-made machinery requirement.
01 What is the difference between a construction hoist and an industrial elevator?
A construction hoist is normally a temporary rack-and-pinion system used during building, renovation or infrastructure work to move personnel, materials or both between temporary landings. An industrial elevator is generally a permanent access system integrated into a factory, power plant, silo, warehouse or other operating facility.
02 Can the same construction hoist transport personnel and materials?
Only when the selected model and its approved configuration are designed for personnel-and-material use. A material-only hoist should not be presented or operated as a passenger hoist. Rated capacity, cage arrangement, landing protection, controls and applicable safety requirements must match the intended transport duty.
03 How does a mast-climbing work platform differ from a suspended platform?
A mast-climbing work platform, or MCWP, travels vertically on one or more masts and provides a broad, stable working deck for façade construction, cladding, masonry, glazing or renovation. An electric suspended platform hangs from roof rigging on steel wire ropes and is commonly selected for temporary façade work where mast support is unsuitable or unnecessary.
04 What is the difference between an electric suspended platform and a BMU system?
An electric suspended platform is usually temporary and movable between projects or façade work zones. A Building Maintenance Unit is a permanent building-integrated façade access system engineered around the roof, façade geometry and long-term inspection, cleaning and maintenance strategy of a specific building.
05 Which elevator is suitable for underground mining operations?
The correct mining access system depends on the travel route, shaft or structure, depth, personnel and material duty, environmental exposure, emergency strategy and site requirements. A rack-and-pinion mining elevator may suit some personnel and material access routes, while unusual shafts or operating conditions may require a custom-engineered system.
06 Can a bespoke architectural lift be installed in an existing villa?
A retrofit can be evaluated when the available space, number of stops, structural support, entrances, pit and headroom conditions, electrical supply and desired finishes are known. Where no suitable shaft exists, the project may require a self-supporting structure or a specially coordinated architectural solution.
07 When is custom-made machinery needed instead of a standard product?
Engineered-to-order machinery becomes relevant when standard equipment cannot satisfy the required load, dimensions, travel path, inclined route, confined structure, environmental protection or production integration. SEKLIFT can evaluate custom lifting machinery, freight platforms, rail-guided systems, material-handling equipment and project-specific vertical access solutions.
08 What information is required for a technical quotation?
Start with the project country, application, required load, personnel capacity, travel or working height, number of stops, movement route, installation environment and available structure. Drawings, CAD exports, façade plans, shaft dimensions or site photographs make the technical review more accurate. Delivery, installation, commissioning and training requirements should also be stated.
Turn the operating requirement into a technical inquiry.
